Women Painting Women, an honor to be included!

I am surprised and delighted that my pastel "Chains" is included in this stunning blog offered by my talented friend Sadie Valeri: Women Painting Women When I scroll down the page of this blog, I see works by many artists known to me who I have greatly admired, and some painters who are new to me that I'm excited to discover. I'm truly honored and a bit dumbfounded to be among such talent, compiled by an artist who's work I so respect.

Thank you Sadie!

Even in the breath-taking collection of portraits on the WPW blog, this image stands out. I find your medium choices and emphasis on portraiture really appealing. Beautiful work.

Oh my Candace - music to my ears! I tend to be unsure of myself, perhaps because my work DOES look so different than most everything I've seen. Most likely a result of being self-taught. I like to think it's a strength, but every once in a while I get wracked by self-doubt. I suppose it's a good thing in the long run,it keeps me moving forward.

One wonderful thing about the inclusion, I've been connecting here with many talented artists like you that I might not have found otherwise!

Thanks also to you, Karen, for your kind comments. I'm still amazed at being in such good company! :)
